If you pay attention @4:16 you’ll notice she’s put 9 swords in crybaby. This could be seen as a reference to the 9 of swords tarot card which represents fear, anxiety, and things that keep you up at night. 9 of swords reversed represents overcoming darkness and once again seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I love it when artists incorporate hidden Easter eggs in their music videos. Good album all together.

I love this new era. The old songs were amazing, I loved them all. However, they were all childhood related. Melanie was proving closure to her childhood trauma, hence K-12. In this era, she has been able to move on, embracing herself as she is now. I love it.

As someone who's been listening to Mel during my Pastel Goth days in high school to my now Goblincore and Fairygrunge Era, I'm very happy to see this style from her. Love her creativity and how she makes art and music for everyone who's into that type of stuff.
