777x killed the A380 and is now coming after the A350. I wouldn’t say it killed the 747....I’d say it “retired” the 747 from carry passengers.
The 747 will still be around, just transporting cargo instead of passengers

A successful flrst flight then test flight in bad weather, I think that was a great challenge for such pilots and all of the team ; thank you so much for sharing these marvellous moments : 777 a beautiful machine as all of Boeing jetliners. Congratulations !

did the ceo not take media training, poor mixed messaging.. and overall an obvious fawning couple of fake journalists. it would be better to be honest, you're pr. folks give us the info, that's fine. they are dressed like they are at a football game. PR folks should be shot. And like with most airlines, they show us photos of business class, a level most will never experience. how about the economy class? it's like it does not exist.

sorry this tincan can`t beat the A350, certainly not when it comes to safety. Why are those CEO`s not in jail after having murdered a few hundered people in the 737??!! Go AIRBUS......

Oh also airbus is wasting its money on something that does not work It's called the A380

      Ħarpsichord 29 dias atrás

Ok first do you even know what murder is? Second the overall death rate is about the same for both aircraft (keep in mind that the 777-300 alone has more crashes then the A350)

airbus 350-1000 and boeing 787-10 have both diluted the market for this elegant airplane, at least for the time being, as they serve niche markets this 777x is not designed to go to. nevertheless, i love the profile of the 777x.

It's a shame beancounters have brought this company to it's knees by putting profitability ahead of good engineering. The 737 max debacle is a reminder to us all, how CEO remuneration linked only to profitability, encourages risky behaviour and could potentially destroy a company.

I trust the B-52's and B-29's. Real greatness from Boeing, also to mention the Legendary B-17. Everyone should try to remember how Boeing helped win WWll with great engineering and our dedicated flyers who put their lives on the line. Mocking such American great engineering and Standards will only help Communism prevail. I will put all my cards on the table for Boeing and American greatness.

Boeing junk built with substandard parts that their own engineers failed and that were later passed by their accountants.

The greed and mendacity in Boeing's Boardroom has betrayed everything that great engineers, designers and line workers at Boeing built up over almost a hundred years of manufacturing and design excellence. Shame on every executive responsible for signing off on the 737 Max's totally preventable failures. As a child of the '60s who followed the story of the 747 with wonder and excitement, I'd much rather be celebrating this magnificent jet's first flight, but until there's transparency in the boardroom I won't be celebrating. Joe Patroni is rolling over in his fictional grave. We won't even talk about what Bill Boeing is doing.

It would be nice if Boeing (or its competitors) build a airplane for mid-range flights with all of the comforts provided by 777X. Most of my flights are less than 4 hours. I never get to flight on those wide-body airplanes.

Godspeed Boeing - you are still my favourite aircraft manufacturer. I know it doesn't mean much, but I really do like your products.

This is the first aircraft since Concorde that I've wanted to fly on - not to get somewhere, but for the experience of being on the aircraft. Perhaps I'll book a 1 night holiday to somewhere that requires a 12+ hour flight to enjoy the experience
