Just to let you know I thought I was done making comments the Bonnie spider plant if you give it too much water at loses its curls unlike our human hair which curls with the water and the humidity the Bonnie spider plant will start going straight no curling iron needed

That's a rare Oxalis you have I've never seen one here on the East Coast! And who is will grow a little faster if you buy the Miracle Grow orchid spray I think it's numbers are 111 meaning 1% nitrogen 1% potassium and 1% potash I think those are the names! Who is a related to orchids so I guess that's why it works so well. Somebody on their BRclip station said they missed their orchids I mean Hoyas with the Orchid mist a couple times a week and they're Hoyas have grown very quickly so maybe you won't have to wait too long to get your Hoya rope to grow! I use it on my orchids but I also soak them in their clay pots for a half an hour in their nutrient solution. I had Orchid food to the nutrient solution but I also add a liquid called calmag it's calcium and magnesium I had a couple pinches of Epsom salts into the three gallons of water that helps screen up their leaves and make them nice and firm and shiny I also put in what I think is like the best ingredient and that seaweed emulsion fertilizer notice I did not did not say fish Emulsion that stuff stinks up the house it's good but it's stinky. The seaweed Emulsion fertilizer tells the plant or gives the plant the necessary hormones to flower to grow leaves to grow roots which is especially important for the orchids that I grow. If you'd like to tune in to my Channel that I just started a few months ago and since I'm 70 God only knows how many subscribers I'll ever get before the day I leave my jungle... Just put my name in the word orchids or houseplants into the search engine on BRclip and you'll find my channel. I just use my cell phone so it's nothing fancy and it's not me on the screen it's just my plants and my voice and you won't see my hand pointing to things taking up the screen I only use my hands to hold onto things how to move things but I know you're all smart enough to see what I'm talking about without my hand being distracting! Hope to see some of you on my plant Channel I have a lot of great subscribers and I'm going to have a giveaway when I hit a hundred so take care God bless

The begonia may get brown tips from the fluoride in tap water. There's no way to get rid of it I think if you filter your water to drink with a Brita it may get rid of the fluoride. I use water from my dehumidifier it's in the basement because it doesn't have anything in it except water and minerals no chemicals. I have a bunch of begonias and I love mine if you love that but going your you should see some of the begonias that have flowers that hang like a cluster of grapes they're huge clusters of flowers. Rex begonias are very hard to take care of that big beautiful gorgeous leaves that are red and all kinds of Glorious combinations but they are very finicky and I've never been able to make them happy. But angel wing begonias which is what you have and shrub begonias as long as you let them dry out between waterings and don't soak them they do very well in the house and love a summer outside

Your palm tree might like to grow outside in the winter check out the low temperatures that can stand. I know you live in California so things can survive outside. I can't remember the name of that palm tree when you're 70 sometimes lack of estrogen drives your brain crazy!!! But that palm tree doesn't live very long usually because people have it in their house and if you check the humidity in your house versus the humidity outside it may have more humidity outside. And that's the key to that poem plus the fact that they can get spider mites so it's good to take that outside and hose it down every once in awhile to get the dust and anything else it's on it off of it and then let it dry but don't let it dry in the Sun and then bring it back in the house when it's dry

I can hardly walk on my patio right now because it's a jungle out there with all of my coleus my elephant ears both calication colocasia begonias succulents various Wandering Jew huge philodendrons white bird of paradise and a bunch of houseplants. I have a lot of watering I have to do because it's been windy and dry because we're having a drought can't save any rainwater because there isn't any. So I fill up a couple of waste baskets with water to let the chlorine evaporate and then I use that the next day to water the plants. I know the birds are happy that I'm leaving water sit out because they are thirsty... There aren't any puddles to drink out of and everything's drawing out no one's cut grass for 2 months

I know you'll see a bunch of comments for me but I comment as I go along I'm 70 years old and I sometimes forget what I wanted to say... And I can make long comments because I use the microphone on my cell phone keyboard to dictate to my little imaginary secretary and so I just talked as if we're having a conversation and my cell phone does all the work!!!

ZZ plants and sansevieria can tolerate low light but they also like more light so the more light you give them the more leaves and branches they'll get but if they're happy and can tolerate low light leave them alone I love my ZZ plant and it's busting out of its plastic pot I think I better repot it before I bring it in the house but I like the pot it's in because I bought some more plants this summer and I'm not sure where I'm going to put them

It takes a long time for succulents to tell you they're unhappy and they want more light and by the time they finally let you know sometimes they've already started to go bad. So I suggest you get them over with your Hoyas but you may be getting sun shining on them at some point during the day or in the winter when the sun's lower in the sky so I don't know your exact situation but maybe there is some sun shining on them at some point in the day and that's helping them out

I think you're alocasia would like to be over by the Hoyas I think it needs a bit more light and if it doesn't get it it's going to go dormant. I have 3 alocasias and one I think it's called golden shields or Regal Shields that I have gotten for babies from and it's about 4 feet high. I have another one that's unmarked from Lowe's and it has a bunch of babies but I'm not going to repot it because it needs to be brought in before it gets too cold here in Hagerstown Maryland. Hopefully my alocasia is won't go dormant over the winter because they take a long time to wake back up in the spring. If you have colocasia which is also in the elephant ears family they can go to sleep for the winter and wake back up in the spring so conceivably they can get Frost cut off the Dead Leaves and put the pot in a place where it won't get Frozen and every once in awhile sprinkle some water on the soil. You can't water it because it won't have active Roots. The same for caladiums they go dormant and you have to bring them in the house before the night time temperature gets below 60 degrees. So if they're in the ground to dig them up lay them on the sidewalk and let them dry out and all the good that's in those leaves that are mobile nutrients will go down into the bulb for next spring. If they're in pots you can bring them in and enjoy them until they decide they want to go to sleep and hibernate for the winter. Put them in a place where it doesn't go below freezing and then every once in awhile sprinkle the soil with some water but don't water because you'll rot the bulb there are no roots to absorb any water you just don't want the soil to get bone dry for very long it'll dry out the tuber or the bulb. If you have some planted in the ground and have to bring them in and you played them in the sidewalk and let them dry out cut off the Dead Leaves put them in a box with some potting soil I mean only use potting soil if you don't have peat moss. And then cover the Box put it in a cool place like your basement but they can't freeze and every once in awhile open the box and sprinkle it with some water. Take the caladiums out in the spring plant them when the soil temperature gets above 60° or if they're going to be in pots when the nighttime temperature stays above 60. They will rot because they are one of the worst tropical plants for hating the cold many houseplants can go below 60 degrees mine do in fact many times it's like there's a frost coming so I'm like in a panic to get them inside... But caladiums don't need a frost to go bad they just need temperatures below 60 degrees for longer than one night. I just brought mine in and it's the middle of September there have been years where I've had to bring them in in August because we had rain and rain and cold are terrible for caladiums those years when I started to dig them up they were already mushy.

At about 10 minutes where you show the Hoya but I forget the name it has the 8th indentations I bet you're the reason why it was cut off was because someone took off cuttings to root before you got that plant or you could be right they just cut it off because it was sticking out too far but my guess is if you bought it on Etsy or through the mail they took cuttings at each tip before they sent it to you
